Explore over 18 kilometres of scenic trails that encompass our lake and nearby Thredbo River, taking in stunning views of Kosciuszko National Park and Bullocks Hut along the way. The Bullocks Hut Track is ideal for newbies with its shared pathways, while the intermediate trails, such as Thredbo River Loop and Muzzlewood, dish up fast-flowing single tracks, tight corners, rocky terrain and man-made obstacles.

The Thredbo Valley Track is an awesome, 17km multi-use trail that’s great for mountain biking enthusiasts. It can be ridden in either direction: uphill from Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa to Thredbo for a solid workout, or, easier downhill from Thredbo. We offer a shuttle service to Thredbo from the Resort for both you and your bike.

Bookings for the shuttle can be made by calling 02 6456 1462 or email harrossummer@gmail.com

Thredbo Mountain Bike Park is one of Australia’s premier mountain biking destinations, taking gravity riding, cross country exploring and MTB action to a whole new level and elevation. From downhill, flow, all-mountain, cross-country and a number of skills parks for all ages, you can enjoy more than 50 kilometres of awesome riding during the warmer months.

The trails in and around Perisher are mainly a series of dirt service roads that allow vehicles to access lodges and chair-lift towers and stations for maintenance—but they make for some fantastic scenic riding.

The ride up to Blue Cow along the Summer Road takes in some nice views and a steep pinch at the end. All trails are wide and easy going with a few steep hills for those looking for a work out.

The Pipers Creek & Smiggins Trail is a mix of gravel road, aqueducts and double track access fire trails, with two minor creek crossings perfect for beginners to intermediate.

Head from the back of the Smiggin Holes car-park and ride down the Link Road towards the back of Blue Cow. Diagonally opposite the base of the Ridge chairlift off the road is an aqueduct access. It’s a bit of a pinch to get up, but once there it’s a fairly easy ride following the power poles initially. The trail winds through mostly open areas and undulating terrain.

Follow it all the way around to you get to the Pipers Creek crossing and Kosciuszko Rd junction. Simply ride back up the road back to Smiggins. It’s a fun ride that’s a approximately 13km round trip.
