What is Check in and checkout time?

Check in time is 3pm

Check out time is 10am

Late checkouts are subject to availability and may incur a fee.

Is there Car Parking?

Yes, parking at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa is free of charge. Every property has 1 allocated car space.

Can I do a guided Kosciuszko walk?

Can I hire bikes from the resort?

Yes, you can hire adult and/or children's bikes from the Resort

Adult Bike Hire     3 hours    = $30

Child Bike Hire     3 hours    = $15

Can I hire dvds and/or boardgames?

Yes.

Please see reception for a variety of complimentary boardgames.

Reception also has a range of DVD's available for hire.

Do I need to make a booking for the Spa?

Yes, bookings are essential to avoid disappointment.

Bookings can be made through the Spa direct or via Reception on 1800 020 524.

Do Ineed a fishing license and is there fish in the lake?

Yes, a fishing license is $6 for 3 days.

Lake Crackenback is a man made lake that is stocked twice a year with trout.

You can book a guided fly fishing tour with prices starting from $65

Do you have outdoor barbeques?

Yes, there are outdoor barbeques centrally located on the Village Green.

Do you need chains to get to Lake Crackenback Resort?

On rare occasions, chains may be required.

Lake Crackenback is below the snow line, and as a result does not get large snowfalls very often.  However, the Resort does experience snowfalls to a smaller degree.

The Resort is outside the Kosciuszko National Park so it is not a legal requirement to carry chains to get to the Resort.

However, if you are planning to travel within the National Park then chains must be carried.

How far is Lake Crackenback Resort from the skifields?

Thredbo is a 20 minute drive from the Resort along the Alpine Way. The most convenient way to get to Perisher is a 5 minute drive to the Skitube Alpine Railway (the Resort has a complimentary in-house shuttle to the skitube in winter that runs on a timetable), the train ride will then take you 15 minutes to arrive at Perisher and another 10 minutes to get to Blue Cow. We are a 45 minute drive to Perisher

How long does it take to walk to Mt Kosciuszko?

To walk to Kosciuszko, you need to first catch a chairlift from Thredbo which will take approximately 25 minutes, the walk to Mt Kosciusko is then approximately 4-5 hours return to the top of the chairlift. The walk is moderate. The chair lift runs between 9.30am - 4.00pm in summer and the cost is approximately $29.50 per adult. How many guests can I invite for a wedding in Cuisine?

Cuisine on Lake Crackenback Restaurant & Bar can seat up to 120 guests with a dance floor or

140 guests, without a dance floor.

How much are the Riversled tour and when do they run?

The River Sled Tours operate from 3rd Nov to 30th April 2013.

$65 per participant and bookings are essential.

How much are the Segways tours?

Segway Experience  - 15 Min = $15

Segway Eco Tour -      1 hour = $50

How much does it cost to get into the Kosciuszko National park?

Please visit http://www.environment.nsw.gov.au/NationalParks/parkHome.aspx?id=N0018 for the fee to enter the Park. You can purchase tickets from the National Park gate located 5 minutes from the Resort.

Is my apartment / chalet serviced during my stay?

A daily service is not included to keep charges minimal.

However, for a low fee we can organise a daily service and refresh for your room.

Is the pool heated?

Yes, the indoor pool is heated to 28 degrees year round.

What conference facilities do you have?

What is provided in the accommodation at Lake Crackenback Resort?

At the Resort we provide linen and towels, washing and dishwashing liquid, crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, saucepans, iron and ironing board, tea & coffee making facilities.

What is there to do in Summer in the Snowy Mountains?

Your options are endless... There's trout fishing, beautiful alpine walks, boating including water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, canoeing and kayaking, mountain bike riding, archery, tennis, golf, Segway tours, quad biking tours, horse riding, chair lift and bobsled rides, helicopter joy flights, abseiling, walking to Mt Kosciuszko, a fantastic day spa to relax and rejuvenate, lovely BBQ's by the lake, Yarrongobilly Caves, watch the latest movies at the local cinema along with some great places for lunch and dinner at the end of your day of adventures.

What types of animals might I see on the Resort property?

There is an abundance of wildlife that roams freely on the Resort property. Look out for kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, possums, emus, birds, deer, rabbits and ducks.
