The recent temperature drops and windy conditions have finally blown in the beautiful white stuff we’ve all been waiting for – let’s get skiing!!

Currently, all resorts have seen a good dumping of snow with more expected throughout the week, Thredbo and Perisher Blue have both had approx 30cm of snow with more lifts expected to open for tomorrow, Selywn and Charlottes Pass have also seen good falls to start their season.

Resort guests woke this morning to see snow drenched mountains tops, perfect conditions for a days skiing or boarding.

Hollywood Comes to Lake Crackenback

Every Monday evening in July, Lake Crackenback Resort will be hosting a weekly movie night featuring some of your family favourites.

Entry is FREE with complimentary tea and coffee facilities available.

Popcorn and Choc Tops will be available for purchase on the night.

It’s Christmas in July at Lake Crackenback Resort. What better way to celebrate a real White Christmas in the Snowy Mountains than with a traditional Christmas feast with all the trimmings.

Every Wednesday evening in July, guests of Cuisine on Lake Crackenback Restaurant & Bar can enjoy all the delicious Christmas fare usually reserved for the festive season. Guests will be treated to an array of culinary delights including fresh prawns, oysters on ice and cured pepper salmon. A selection of salads and antipasti platters plus slow cooked herb encrusted beef and loin of roast pork with roasted root vegetables. Ocean trout with pineapple salsa, coriander & ginger chicken curry with aromatic jasmine rice will also be served. Dessert will be a selection of cakes, seasonal fruit and traditional plum pudding with brandy caramel sauce. The restaurant will be transformed with all the colours of Christmas and Santa will be on hand to provide a little extra cheer.

Fuyu Sushi @ Cuisine Bar

Every Friday evening between 5-8pm during July and August.

Fuyu is the Japanese word for winter and we are bringing some of the Japan’s favourite dishes including tempura, sushi, sashimi and traditional miso soup to Lake Crackenback fuyu!!

At Cuisine Bar you can enjoy the perfect winter stew every evening between 5.30- 9.00pm while relaxing next to a crackling wood fire, taking in the tranquil water views over Lake Crackenback.

The menu offers a choice of three stews all served in a freshly toasted Sourdough bread bowl, perfectly matched alongside a glass of red wine or indulgent mountain cocktail.

Update - Winter 2008

The Spa @ Lake Crackenback's construction is almost nearing completion with its doors expected to open late July.

The spa will consist of 5 treatment rooms offering inspiring views, an inviting reception area and chill out deck set on the spectacular grounds of Lake Crackenback.

The spa menu will include a variety of massage therapies such as hot stone, remedial and relaxation techniques to soothe those sore muscles plus a extensive array of pampering treatments and packages using 100% organic products from the Kuush beauty range.

The opening of the Spa @ Lake Crackenback will be a welcome edition the myriad of onsite services and activities, providing our guests with a value added resort experience.
