Guided Day Treks

Mt Tate Trek (by request only, alternate wet weather option)

After a 2km ascent the windswept snow gums give way to vast alpine vistas. Cross Consett Stephen Pass, the high point of two watersheds & onto Mt Tate. This area is at the northern end of the Main Range & affords excellent views of Guthega Ski Village, The Rolling Grounds & the Main Range. Descend Tate’s East Ridge & drop back into the sub alpine. From here the trek follows relics of an old ski tow built by dam workers in the 60’s during the construction of the Snowy Mountains Scheme.
