TV Personality

Steve Starling, is one of Australia’s highest acclaimed fishermen. His years of experience has seen him involved with Shimano Australia to develop the Squidgy Lure range and he will be teaching us how to cast soft bodied lures to trout in rivers and lakes. Steve will also be the guest speaker at the Sunday night awards dinner, sharing his amazing stories and experiences chasing trout.

 

 

 Peter Morse

Peter Morse is a fly fishing purist with 35 years in the sport, the past 20 of those as a full time fisherman.  He is a Master Instructor with the Federation of Fly Fishers, he’s guided around the South Pacific and all over Australia.  He’s authored three books, countless articles and produced an internationally broadcast television series called ‘Wildfish’ as well as presented many fly fishing segments for ‘The Fishing DVD’.  With a species tally of 286, there’s not much Peter Morse hasn’t done in the world of fishing.  This is a rare opportunity to truly learn from the master.
 
 

Simon Zarifeh

Simon Zarifeh, one of Australia’s few Master International Federation of Fly Fishers Instructors will be sharing his vast knowledge and expertise in fly casting with single and double hander fly rods, aerial mending techniques, line mending and stream craft techniques. Simon will also be presenting his own ‘Trout Diaries’ publishing’s during the Sunday night award dinner, sharing his stories and experiences on the water with a fly rod at hand.

 

 Nick Taransky

Expert Cane Fly Rod Builder

and FFF Instructor

Nick Taransky, is an accredited FFF Certified Casting Instructor. His passion is dry fly sight fishing for trout in streams. He is committed to catch and release, and preservation of the environment and trout in Australian waters. Nick’s real expertise however can be witnessed in his craftsmanship in Cane Rod building, recognised as one of the world’s finest rod builders.  Nick will be sharing his knowledge and expertise for Cane rods and will have a number of rods available on the demo day.

 

  Jo Starling

Fishing Instructor and

Knot Tying Instructor

Jo Starling, is one of Australia’s leading female anglers and is recognised as an expert knot tier and instructor. With many claims to fame Jo’s real excellence can be discovered with her passion for educating and coaching fellow women and children in all forms of fishing. Jo will be sharing her expertise in an Advanced Knot Tying workshop and plans to help the females at the Summit to out-fish the boys!  

 

 Matt Tripet

G-Loomis Pro Guide and

FFF Member

Matt Tripet, is a G-Loomis Pro Guide and a member of the International Federation of Fly Fishers. As a guide Matt is in his element, there is nothing he enjoys more than sharing with others the intricacies of this challenging sport. Matt will be presenting valuable information on the local water ways focusing on fly selection and behaviour exhibited by spawning trout. Matt will also be hosting workshops with Simon Zarifeh single and double hander rod casting. During Saturday evening Matt will also be presenting a slide show on catching  trout from his recent expedition to New Zealand.
