PLEASE NOTE: OUR MOUNTAIN BIKING TRACKS ARE CLOSED FOR WINTER.
Get on your bike and head to Lake Crackenback to check out our Mountain Bike Trails.
Over 25 kilometres of scenic trails encompass the lake, nearby Thredbo River along with views of the Kosciuszko National Park and Bullocks Hut. The trails will rate amongst the best you have ridden, with stunning scenery to match. Roll through some of our amazing single track and open trails within our 150 acres of natural bush land with the backdrop of the Snowy Mountains.
At the Resort, we can provide you with one of our premium mountain bikes* to explore the track which is great for beginners, families and the experienced mountain bike rider. We hire bikes from balance bikes that suit a 2 year old through to bigger kids, we also have a wide range of high performance XC and all-mountain bikes. Even try an E-bike.
Electric Mountain Bikes are a great option for a more enjoyable ride on the trails around Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa. The ease of use won’t have
you breathing hard on the trails, giving you more time to enjoy the beautiful views that surround you. The extra power that the E-bike gives you means
that uphill trails are now easier. There is still confusion as to the difference between an E-bike and a normal mountain bike. The electric bike will
provide extra power when you are pedalling that a standard mountain bike will not provide.
Our trails play host to some well known and well regarded mountain bike events. The Resort is linked with Thredbo via the Thredbo Valley Track which allows
guests as well as enthusiasts the opportunity to mountain bike from Thredbo right through to Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa which is fantastic.
For the more adventurous, we have located at the entrance to the Resort, a purpose built Caroline Buchanan Pump & Flow Track to test you with berms, bridges, logs and rails.
