After 14 years of working as a Private Chef to Royalty and many more on the Forbes list, Kelly Eastwood left the high seas and transferred her skills to Television.
Working as a Home Economist and TV Food Producer for shows such as Masterchef, MKR, Better Homes and Gardens and The Great Australian Bake Off to name a few, it was River Cottage Australia that brought Kelly to the Far South Coast of NSW. When River Cottage Australia finished she started up her own business, Eastwood’s Bermagui on the picturesque Sapphire Coast.
Over the years there have been some challenges and changes at Eastwood’s. Through the bushfires Eastwood’s was converted into a Disaster Relief Kitchen for a not-for-profit organisation, called World Central Kitchen, where she executed 46,322 meals over 7 weeks with a team of 270 hard working volunteers feeding our firefighters, evacuees and displaced locals in surrounding communities.
Today, Kelly now hosts cooking lessons, private coastal catering events, and runs her ever growing South Coast online meal delivery service from Batemans Bay to Eden. She is a regular guest as a Culinary Consultant on ABC Sydney Radio’s Drive Sessions with Josh Szeps, has recently been a guest on SBS’s The Cook Up and is currently recording her own podcast.
Shut The Gate Wines owners Richard Woods and Rasa Fabian have, collectively, decades of experience in the wine industry. From vine to bottle, from the corporate wine companies to their now small batch winemaking. From their temperate Clare Valley vineyards, to the cool climes of the Snowy Mountains.
Throughout their wine journey there wines have always been about crafting wines that speak of the place the grapes grow. From proven varieties growing grown in classic wine regions to the trialling of new emerging wine varieties and styles.
The Shut The Gate Wine portfolio delivers quality and choice vintage after vintage. Passion Contained.
